Answer is really simple, it's about CHANGE.

Since becoming a Massage Therapist is 1989, Cynthia Ann Schankin, realized her goals are like other Massage Therapists in the field of Self-Health. The goal is to help people find balance in the complexity of the human body in managing stress. Confounded with the complexity, the words and the phrases of tension, stress, pain and soreness from her clients; Cynthia questioned why and how can I make a CHANGE. The answers came from years of experiences with interpersonal growth and inspirational people. Learning to listen and know how to reconnect, release & reduce the tension/pain/stress, while helping others to see the value in their CHANGE.

Everything is in change, from our cells in our bodies to the weather outside our body. The TSS practitioner sees the body as a child without words and the mind as the perception which we see the world. It’s when each part of us is connected to each other that optimal health is present.  The Schankin System (TSS) Massage is a way of blending  a variety of  massage and applied kinesiology techniques to reconnect commutation between our body and mind. That’s the Applied Neuromuscular Education made simple. So why not a bodywork system that addresses the neuromuscular response and assists change in that response. Simple, easy, effective! That's The Schankin System (TSS).

What's this Muscle Testing, Applied Kinesiology and Muscle Response tool?

Muscle Testing, Applied Kinesiology and Muscle Response are all words that describe the response of specialize cells in your muscle fibers and tendons. These fibers are known as proprioceptor. It's our proprioceptor that relay, response and react to the sense of perception through our Somatic Nervous System.  So when we are testing a muscle(aka Muscle testing) we are collecting information about the muscles ability to response (AKA muscle response) and then applying a corrective technique to that muscle or muscle group(AKA Applied Kinesiology).

What are we correcting with  Muscle Testing, Applied Kinesiology and Muscle Response ?

We are correcting the response of a specialized piece of us, the proprioceptor in your muscle fibers and tendons. It's the Somatic Nervous System that stores our sense perceptions and muscle movement perceptions. All of which you are smelling, tasting, touching, hearing, seeing and all muscle movements are collected in our brains. It's like a data collection hard drive for life experiences.

We don’t think of this Somatic Nervous System, yet it’s this system that is collecting, logging and writing into every movement or experience.  So if you have learned to ride a bike, the information you took in through your scenes and movements are stored like a computer program in the somatic nervous system.  So if you want to ride that bike again, you have nerve pathways that have been created so you could potentially ride that bike again, like a HOW TO PROGRAM. Similarly, if you have broke an arm or injury yourself while riding the bike, that experience was also collected. Often the scene of injury will be added into the movement scenes of HOW TO RIDE A BIKE PROGRAM as a "I survived program". When survival programs are written into HOW TO programs they shift the response of the body's movement OUTCOMES. These outcomes we experienced as muscle tension, soreness, inflammation responses, lack of range of motion, stiffness, and pain, to name a few.

What if it's not because your getting older? What if it's not because you worked-out to much yesterday? What if it's not that you sit at a desk or sleep on your side?

What if it's not your actions that have created your muscle soreness, pain, tension, stress? What if it's your natural senses of collecting information that just didn't get the experience that the threat to protect you, is OVER...... ? The TSS practitioner sees the statements of pain, stress, tension, etc., as there are some sense perception/ survival programs that are running the show in your experience. These scene perceptions mean well, they are there to protect you. But when is enough, Enough? When can we rewrite or override the survival program? When can we do what we want, feel youthful, sleep what ever which way we want, and love the job we do?  Having a TSS session helps you to have an experience that updates your survival programs.

The TSS practitioner provide the experience to re-write the scene OUTCOMES. They also uses muscle response to collect objective information on what sense perception are creating muscle weakness responses. They also use the muscle response for reassessment after massage techniques are applied.  The outcome is often the revolutionary reduction of the symptom of pain, tension, and muscle soreness. Also, you feel the strengthen different in your muscle responses within minutes.

The beauty of TSS technique is it’s almost like your body has a say about what sort of massage it needs. So that it can response to your HOW TO OUTCOMES again.
